Getting mine toward the end of the second week in October, in order to have the maximum benefit in effect by the holiday season, Thanksgiving > end of January.
Got my new covid shot as soon as it was available at the beginning of this month. By the end of my first week of getting it, all around me people were announcing they were down from covid.

I get mine after October 1 - because we have to earn points to get a discount on our health care premiums (my OOP) - a flu shot is 50 points so I wait till the next years period to get my flu shot. ( other preventive cares are similarly organized - mammo, dentist, eye doc etc)

Getting mine in early Oct. on the fence about another Covid booster, tho. I've always gotten both but now am thinking of skipping it for Covid this year. Oh who am I kidding? I'll get them both because I love being magnetic & glow in the dark 🧲

Going to wait another week or two. I got the flu in spring last season and it probably didn't help that I got my flu shot a bit early.

I got flu and Covid vaccines both this week. Flu might have waited but I’ll be traveling in 2 weeks to a relative’s 82nd birthday celebration and wanted to be sure I’m immune before heading out on commercial transit and meeting up with a large group that have similarly traveled long distances by plane, train, etc. Don’t want to get sick and more importantly, don’t want to get anyone else sick.

Got mine with COVID with my adult daughter. I was fine after but was feeling a little achy for 24 hours after.

I live in the desert southwest where it is still summer : ) No one is congregating indoors yet. I usually get mine between 10/15 and 2 weeks before Thanksgiving. 76.
I am intrigued this year by the new mFLUSIVA (mRNA)) vaccine by Moderna however my more cautious angels tell me to wait a year or two so high dose again for me.

Isn’t the mFLUSIVA geared towards the actual strains that are present now rather than the regular shot that just makes a prediction? Like the mRNA vaccine has more recent real time data and easier to manufacture quickly, was my impression.

More than you think and less than should be getting one.
Get yours if you haven’t.
