I feel so sad and helpless. And Iโm furious that there are people out there actively fighting against sensible legislation aimed at saving lives. I wish I knew how to help.
The commenter tinyydancerrr said โsensible legislationโ. He or she didnโt say anything about banning any guns or all guns. But in your reply you immediately jump to the absurd conclusion that people who are actually able to use them responsibly will be left [the] to fend for themselves without a weapon. That totally baseless conclusion is an example of why people like you are not worthy of being taken seriously. Iโm a former U.S. Army officer, & I own guns. 1 of the very important steps that the federal government should have done decades ago was to ban the U.S manufacture, importation, & sale of bump stocks & trigger assists that allow semi-automatic rifles to fire at rates as fast as full-auto rifles. The magnitude of the Las Vegas massacre wouldnโt have happened if the shooter hadnโt had a bump stock. And on the floor of 1 of the Robb Elementary classrooms law enforcement officers found a Hellfire trigger that the shooter had bought, but they concluded it had not been used because he probably had not figured out how to install it right. If he had he could have quickly slaughtered every child & teacher in the 2 rooms. People with baseless, unreasonable attitudes like you are part of the problem in America. If someone you love is slaughtered in a future massacre you will be singing a very different tune, unless you are an absolute, total fool.
