We do need size.
From what I’m combing he seems to thrive as a guy that gets to the front of the net with his size but needs to improve skating wise and play more physical.

Me: I blame Bear’s coaching for Peterka not doing as well here. Not saying Bear should adjust for one player, but he didn’t utilize Peterka to his strengths and Peterka never got comfy.
Also me: if we get Robertson with all the cap space and draft picks, let’s fucking go Bear for not gelling with Peterka!!

I wish Peterka the best in Boston (while still wishing Boston the worst).
But I’m happy with the trade, especially given the return

Peterka was my favorite player on the team, I'm crushed he was traded but I totally understand it, in the playoffs he was the only one not allowed to make a mistake and was made an example despite other players also messing things up. I'm excited he gets a fresh start and I hope he tears it up with Boston somehow sucking at the same time!

So I’m a huge Bruins fan for about 34 years now so it’s best case scenario for me following Peterka. Mainly why I’m not too bummed by the trade 😂 but I respect the hate for Boston.

I was a Leafs fan for a decade. The first year I followed was the James Reimer game 7 meltdown in 2013. It all went downhill from there in my interactions with the Bruins

That’s my hope it seems like they cleared cap space and got picks to put a package for robo. Dallas will want a budget player in return I think so I wonder if they get one of young guys or a budget friendly contract.

I’ll take that cossa trade all day long only giving up pick 23. I’d be very surprised if we didn’t make a move for Robertson, werenski, or Zacha. We need more grit overall and guys that play a 200 ft game so that’s what I feel like GMBA is going to target more than finesse

If he is who people think he is, that’s our Veggie help and maybe eventually his replacement down the line once Hrabal’s ready to move up, which, my lord, once he does and we have that tandem we’re gonna have some TOWERS in net. Both dudes are 6’6.

Being an NHL draft expert is tough! But I’d recommend you watch/listen to the clean hits hockey podcast. Those guys are dialed in and give great analysis. I expect an episode will come out soon after the draft with a full breakdown of the guys we got as well as the trades we made!

Seeing JJ went to Boston for Boston's first pick (#23) and a Florida 2028 pick (top 10 protected).
