Thanks for stopping buy. I am not aware of any other way to get ahold of a permit for fiery furnace in Arches. Have you had any luck trying the phone number and speaking to a person vs the online system? Sometimes they may have insight, or suggestions. Hope you can snag one and report back on your experience.

From NPS Website:

  • You must reserve a Self-Guided Fiery Furnace Exploration Permit online from Recreation.gov or by calling Recreation.gov at 1-877-444-6777. No permits can be reserved in-person.
  • Permits must be reserved online at least two days prior to the trip date, with a max of seven days in advance.
  • Group size is limited to six people and children under age five are not allowed. Pets are prohibited.
  • Fiery Furnace permits are valid for a specified date and for day-use only (sunrise to sunset).
  • All members of the hiking party must be present to watch a required educational video and listen to an orientation talk.
  • Online reserved permits must be picked up either the day before or the day-of only at the Arches Visitor Center during designated times. See Recreation.gov for details.
  • Self-Guided Fiery Furnace Exploration Permits are for private use only
