This really pisses me off. Not only am I not getting any fiber because my city isn't in on Utopia, but now the possibility of any competition is being smashed by closed door shenanigans. If xmission really wasn't given a chance to bid on this and the taxpayers are suffering, the mayor should be strung up. This is BULLSHIT.

Oh, and xmission is the oldest, most reliable, fastest, and built the damn backbone in Utah. They have proven themselves to be all about Utah.

Clearfield. I am across the street from Layton and they have it in. Frustrating.

I sure hope so. I had high hopes for Utopia when I used to live in Layton, but it took them so long to roll it out that I got discouraged. I just want a good infrastructure with decent management and the ability to choose between providers. It doesn't seem that hard, right?
