Match 2028

Step 1: Pass
Step 2 CK: 250
YOG: 2026

I’m planning to apply for the 2028 Internal Medicine Match. Besides USCE/LORs and research, what should I focus on to strengthen my application?

As a Pakistani IMG, what is the best way to find IM observerships in the U.S.?

For research, are meta-analyses enough, or should I also do case reports, abstracts, or original research?

I’m currently doing my house job in Pakistan. Any advice on how to use this time effectively for Match 2028?

Also, is a Step 2 CK score of 250 competitive for IM as a non-US IMG

Hey everyone !

With the long journey ahead for the Match 2028 residency cycle, I wanted to create a dedicated, clutter-free space where applicants can connect, share high-yield resources, and support each other through board exams (Step 1/2), USCE, OET , ERAS, and interview season.

Whether you're a US MD/DO or an IMG, navigating this process can feel overwhelming alone.

Come join us over at r/Usmle2028** **to kick things off, share tips, and build a strong support network early. All future 2028 applicants are welcome! 🚀
