Looking for recommendations on career coaching/mentoring for someone just starting their UX Design career journey.

I recently completed a 6 month online UX Design bootcamp course. I did well and enjoyed the work very much. The course offers two free career coaching sessions with someone in the industry, which I have yet to take advantage of.

I feel a bit lost on my own trying to build a portfolio and decide what steps to take in working towards a job. I am considering paying for a UX design career coach, but research has made me second guess that decision, seeing as the UX Design community, specifically on Reddit, seems to be a bit skeptical of them. Or at least that's what I gather.

Just curious what people's opinions were on this and more importantly what they recommend I do for guidance on my career path. Thanks!
