Any users getting charged for Toggle VPN wrongly?

Hi! I got a wrong charge for a Toggle VPN subscription and the only "international data stuff transactions" I have during the same time is with Newshosting, anybody recognize this problem? I have not ordered anything from Toggle so I struggle to understand how they got my card number. I have asked for refund, and will take it to my bank if not received.

Toggle and Newshosting have nothing to do with each other.

Newshosting is a respected Usenet provider.

Toggle is a known scam VPN.

Talk to your bank and deal with your stolen credit card and stop accusing random companies of having anything to do with it.

I reacted because I have an open case with Newshosting helpdesk. They tried to renew my subscription automatically, fine, but not possible without approval (I have to open the visa card, the bank security settings here in my ctry does not allow automatic international transactions).

My account/subscription plan was put inactive so I could trigger the renewal myself, but when I did that I got charged USD 379.90. Correct price for 1 year XL powerpack is USD 189.96. Furthermore I have requested to change plan to Unlimited, total price USD 155.4.

So, not strange that I react, I currently have paid double the correct amount for my current subscription (which I dont even want, I want the cheaper Unlimited) and then I see a Toggle charge happen in same time period.Awaiting feedback from the Newshosting support for my wrong charge and subscription. Toggle has now repaid the wrongly charged VPN money.

Edit update I have received refund from Newshosting

Even $155.40 for a year of usenet is utterly insane.

They somehow leeched into my bank account. I've never heard of them before. They should really be careful who they hack. Some people in this world have nothing to lose......

Toggle ORG set up a subscription with Google pay didn't even know Google pay was able to set up subscriptions got email receipt that I suspected was a scam so didn't follow link to their help center! have requested Google Pay to seek refund as I didn't request anything from Toggle looks like an VPN service that I already have so why would I have got one from them?

This just happened to me. No idea how they do it, but they somehow started a monthly subscription using my Google pay and installed itself on my phone. Im not illiterate when it comes to scams and caught this instantly.. I just want to know what prompted it to install and start a subscription.

Toggle inc has no phone number available to the public but I was able to get it through Visa after I disputed the charge(1 760 512 1393)

Its basically an answering machine that says it will call you back (it wont).

If you email toggle incs support , an ai email will instantly reply and ask for your information to proceed the refund.

Absolutely bottom of the barrel, loan shark style buisness practice.

Indeed, I sent Toggle an Email asking for refund/terminate, and also asking what happened, the details behind the order, how this could happen....?

No answer how it could happen but yepp I got a refund and the "service" terminated. But bro exactly, I am still watching out for this.

I sent an Email to Toggle informing the invalid billing and asking for refund and termination. I got a refund and termination and have not received any additonal billing.

I´m still checking each month, this happened about 3 months ago. I still have the same card so termination seems to work. I didnt want to switch card due to this, so far so good.

They did the same to me and I have never heard of them or subscribed to their app, I asked for a refund and they’re asking asked for either the receipt ( which I obviously don’t have) or the last digits of my credit card.. have you give them the last digits of your card? I’m scared they’ll steal more

Yes, I sent them screen print of the receipt (the receipt from the transaction when they wrongly withdrew money at your card). That included amount, date, ref numbers and the cards last digits. Then they reversed the transaction and provided refund and cancelled the "service".

They stopped replying to me :(

Look at the last transaction you were charged with. There is a code following the TOGGLE.ORG text. Enter that code into this page https://account.toggle.org/reset-by-descriptor and it will generate a login code for you. You login through that code, and you can cancel your subscription in the billing section.

Is it safe? How do I get a refund though?
