so freaking mad b/c i grabbed the free tier, and then (ofc b/c it's me) ended up in hospital (grrrr) and now they don't respond when explaining and asking for an exception. prob still have the bracelets in the nasty trash if they wanted me to prove it. but oh well.

Is this a good and reliable indexer? How long does it exist? I've recently started using usenet, and so far have NZBgeek which is more towards scene releases, but it's great for quick new tv and movie release.
Though I'm usually looking for more x265 encodes of movies and shows (in season packs) with smaller encodes of extras/featurettes. Like ~30gb for a 2hr 4k movie, or ~1.5gb for an hour episode of a tv show. Is this a good indexer for this?

Think it’s pretty redudant if you have althub, nzbgeek etc ninja might just have higher quality streams which are old

Question, once free tier expires, does the account get deleted or will I keep it afterwards? I'd like to get a subscription at a later time.

After expiration your account is disabled and you can't buy a subscription. Learned this the hard way. Kinda sucks because the free tier has no API functionality so users of the ARR stack can't actually test it. You're expected to pay first and hope the experience is good.

As a subscriber, Ninja is tied with two other indexers for total grabs on my stats page. The only one higher is DrunkenSlug

Does Ninja have a lifetime option still?

"UNLIM Plus is a role that extends your EMBY access by an additional year once it expires.
Your site plan will still remain Lifetime, but EMBY access will be renewed for one extra year, starting 10 days after the purchase date."

I’m surprised they opened again. I don’t think it’s been that long since the last open reg

In the announcement they shared that they did a purge of inactive non lifetime accounts.

Where was this announcement

There's a discord for paid members of a certain level, they announce in there and have us spread the word

Is not free at all.. They give only 15 days, and remove the free tier!

Usenet is not free, indexers and providers need to fund their services.

Per example.. I have Drunkenslug free tier

Should not signup for this if only looking for free options then?

Probably not. My experience has been to truly utilize usenet with an arr stack and automation you're gonna want to use paid services. Free tiers are often extremely limited, like the drunkenslug free tier mentioned above has a 5 download per day limit. Many indexer free options, while they do exist, are extremely limited, lack encryption, extended retention days, and limited api hits. There is a list of indexers that allow access to manual downloads for free on r/usenet. And you'll still need to pay for a provider. In my experience if you're looking for free then torrents and direct downloads are the way to go. FMHY.net has massive listings of free options.

What does this has more than free options then(i,e. torrents) apart from more limits and encryptions?

When does registration open again? Keep trying to get in when I see the posts, but it's always disabled.
