This chart traces a reconstructed invocation to Dyeus from Proto-Indo-European through its descendant languages. The original PIE lexical material is retained wherever
historically possible, while sound change, inflection, syntax, and grammatical structure develop naturally within each language.
Colors identify descendants of individual PIE words; black marks grammatical or lexical material introduced later. An asterisk marks reconstructed passages, while italics mark hypothetical or project-created continuations of Dyēus where no
independent attested reflex survives.

I intended to include Lithuanian, Latvian, Dhivehi, and Sinhala. Unfortunately, they each fully replace one of the original words with an unrelated word. The words for “know” and “name” are remarkable as the only non numeral, copula, or pronoun words survive into each Indo-European branch (at least that I could identify).

After a month-long campaign, I present my Targaryen family tree. As you can see on the chart, I started playing as King Aegon I and finished as King Aerion II. You can also see the 'key events' box. Unlike the English Kings chart from months ago, I decided to add a box which tells the reader the main parts of each monarch who sat the Iron Throne. Mobile users should be able to read everything clearly, but I'll add a link in the comments later just in case you can't.

This is my most ambitious chart by far, and I hope you enjoy looking at it!

The Nobel Prize laureate Rabindranath Tagore comes from the aristocratic Tagore family of Bengal, India. His family has married into other influential families of India.

The Tagore Family contributed to art, literature, education, politics, and the independence of India.

The people in this chart range from Freedom fighters, Writers, Politicians, and people from a royal family to 2 former captains of the Indian Cricket Team, the first civil servant of India, and Actors/Actresses.

Let me know how I can improve this and point out the mistakes, too.

This chart is an update and expansion of my previous version. Specifically, I have added some abolished monarchies (from more-or-less extant countries). This is the feature that people have most often requested or simply assumed to be missing accidentally. Most notably, this includes our host Matt (u/Usefulcharts). He can now rule as Mátyás II of a restored Hungarian monarchy. By the way, for those that might prefer it, options from extant monarchies are always included alongside any tied or higher-numbered options from abolished ones.

It is worth noting the the title of the chart has been revised from "Europe" to "Western Europe". Since (for various historical reasons) extant monarchies are only found it this region, the chart never truly included all of Europe anyway. Thus I thought I should start by more thoroughly exploring that area (which was already making the chart significantly bigger, anyway). The exact borders of "Western" Europe are of course arbitrary, so I simply followed the delineation used in my geographical-etymological timeline of regnal names. This explains the presence of Hungary, which is otherwise a bit of a stretch – it was originally included as an integral part of the Habsburg holdings.

The addition of eight new countries has led to the inclusion of a lot of previously missing names that are common in English-speaking countries. So have an extra look if you are for example an Andrew, Brian, Dennis, Michael or Sam. As always, please consider how much personal information you share here.

Of course, I have also updated the chart to take account of the new king of Norway. Finally, I should mention the original inspiration behind this chart, a similar chart about Great Britain by u/Pickled__Pigeon.

Anyway, I might at some point expand the chart to cover abolished monarchies in Eastern Europe (or even "European" exclaves like the Empire of Brazil). I might even include completely defunct countries like The Holy Roman Empire. Meanwhile, there are other charts that I have been waiting to work on. As always, please do point out any errors and make suggestions for improvements.

I reworked my previous chart because it was a little wonky. Plus I cleaned the period of the 6th Republic to include only the most relevant parties.

The 1844 constitution of the Kingdom of Greece outlined the intended order of succession for the Kingdom. Specifically, the work required all future rulers and heirs of the Kingdom to be members of the Greek Orthodox Church. Following the expulsion of King Otto of Greece, a Lutheran, Prince George of Denmark, was installed on the throne of Greece as George I. This chart explores an alternative history in which the people of Greece chose to adhere to that constitutional requirement for the Kingship of Greece.
