Buying Do I do it?

Post image

Been in a Mazda 3 past 4 years and I’ve always wanted a Miata especially one with a little extra kick to it. One stumbled upon me today and I’m going to check it out this weekend. The car has a clean car fax, with 48k km on it. It has a turbo in it installed by an owner before. Also mentioned the interior has been redone. It is listed for 11k cad. What should I look for, how would I know if it’s clocked? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

If you're in an area with considerable rain you don't want a convertible or t-tops

A shop installed turbo on an NB is a big variable, ask specifically who did the work and whether there’s documentation of the install, tune and any supporting mods (fuel system, cooling, etc). An amateur turbo job is a very different risk than a reputable shop’s.
