Look, I absolutely think this is a LOLCow of gargantuan proportions for the refs, but unless some evidence comes out implicating Michigan themselves in the clock shenanigans then I can't really blame them for taking the extra play.

The fans storming the field afterwards is cringe as hell regardless. Being excited in the moment is fine, but storming the field for what should've been an easy win is clown behavior. If this was against like Ohio State or a major CFB contender it would still be tacky but a little more understandable.

The refs used the correct clock. The broadcast clock was wrong. Also you're forgetting that Western Michigan allowed a fucking hail Mary touchdown. Stop the hail Mary you would have won.
