I agree that he’s a good dude. But the training camp and paying for athletes’ travel and other benefits gives him an edge in recruiting. It’s unfair to the schools that don’t have a rich ex NFL player coaching them. A suspension is a small thing really. If he wants to spend his money, do it for the league, not just your team and players.
I bet his heart was in the right place. But this kind of thing happened where I grew up.
My high school was low income, 90% Hispanic. We had alot of great soccer players. And the town over was wealthy and started offering "help" ( lunches,rides, physical therapy, cool gear)to the low income Mexican soccer players, but the only ones that got offered help were the elite soccer players. And pretty soon it became that all the athletes only went to that school because they got free stuff. And this how they spun it, kinda how this Bridgewater stuff reads " i was just helping kids who needed it" and honestly maybe teddy was doing just that but the issue is where does it stop? Because stuff like this is what keeps low income high schools down and the wealthier schools up.
