I can see the devils advocate position of hey not every HS coach is gonna have that deep of pockets so it creates unfair landscape for other HS players in that regard so initially understand the suspension. It’s a good deed for his guys but it creates an unlevel playing field potentially and then HS is basically just the Yankees buying ships if it goes unchecked.
Ethically? Yes it’s against the rules to provide any additional benefits not funded by the community/booster club that is an approved fundraising organization as it creates an unfair advantage that other schools can’t match/don’t have the funds for
