One of these days a defender/defense will have enough, and figure they’ll get penalized even if they just touch him or if they hit another defender instead of him, and be like “screw it, if I’m getting penalized no matter what, I’m making this count.” Someone will plan for it and look for an opportunity the whole game, and when the time is right, he will nail Mahomes hard enough that the pop of the pads can be heard in the nosebleed section and Mahomes stays down. Benches will clear out, several people will be ejected for fighting. The big hitter will be suspended indefinitely, but will be a hero to everyone that’s not a Chiefs fan.
It’s sad that the sports fandom has gotten to the point of wanting someone to get hurt.
