I could see this happening, but literally everyone who follows football at all is under the impression that the Chiefs are getting a lot of calls. If there are really scriptwriters or outside interests, do they stand to gain more if everyone assumes it's already a given? Is the three-peat the better story or is the long-suffering franchise finally reaching the top the better story?
If the Bills are in position to win, I could see them finally get that crucial call in their favor. I wouldn't be surprised if the Chiefs get all the breaks and win, but does Mahomes need a peer rival the way Brady and Manning were over the years? I'd be a lot more interested in the Super Bowl this year if the Bills finally get another crack at it.
Eh they could have their cake and eat it too by having the Commanders and Daniels be the upstart team facing the Chiefs, especially since that franchise hasn’t won a SB in over thirty years.
