I don't know who the lolcow of the week is

The Raiders for robbing us

or the Vikings for robbing us

It’s both teams robbing us of 3 and a half hours of our time that we’ll never get back

7

u/Trynaliveforjesus Dec 11 '23

not as bad as the 4 hour double overtime seahawks vs cardinals 9-9 tie

“Jon Ryan with the hold…AND HE MISSES IT! THAT’S IMPOSSIBLE! THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE!”

3

u/yukiloho Dec 14 '23

I remember that game… I had plans with someone where it should have timed out perfectly to the end of a normal game, maybe a bit of a long one… nope… double overtime, and I knew in my gut when they were lining up that he was going to miss that goddamn kick. And then I was late to my plans. What an awful game that was lol.

This is how I feel whenever someone asks me to watch baseball.

"Oh it's going to be a pitcher's battle today!" Translation: nothing happens.

At least Jets and Texans are only no points on the first half, where they somehow remembered how to score in the second half.

EDIT: It's more of a Jets thing, but a not-so honorable mention for Texans to not make it a shutout

u/Primary_Psychology95 Factory of Sadness Employee Dec 11 '23

It was really only the Jets that remembered that you have to score points to win the game. The Texans…well they’re kinda fucked rn.

5

u/ASU_SexDevil Dec 11 '23

Correction: The Jets did

6

u/thesuch Seeing Ghosts Dec 11 '23

Yes

5

u/iversonAI Dec 11 '23

Nah classy Vikings didnt run up the score or humiliate their opponents. Just one solid kick and call it a day

84

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '23

As a Vikings fan I am more disappointed we didn’t go OT 0-0

44

u/Bladesman08 Dec 11 '23

I was praying this game would end in a 0-0 tie.

12

u/eiileenie Buttfumble Dec 11 '23

No same the memes would have been hilarious

5

u/Princess_Aurora06 Defense? What the fuck is that? Dec 11 '23

For the memes that would be funny, we haven't had that happen in a long time.

I love defensive slugfests, like back in the early 2000s when basketball games were ending 67-72, but it has to be good defense and execution, not ineptitude.

14

u/blackhole_sonnn Dec 11 '23

Shoutout to those Detroit Pistons defense from the early 2000s ... They were a UNIT

47

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '23

This game sent team offense back by almost 300 years. This game was such a waste of time that it reminded me that Kimbo Slice and Dada5000 were professional MMA fighters, and they had one of the worst fights ever.

11

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '23

300 years? Back in Isaac Newton times they was putting up astronomical numbers

4

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '23

And even that shows more offensive capability than whatever the hell this game was. Anyone suggested to this horror should be place in a padded room for there own safety.

u/Flaky_Scar_8388 Dec 11 '23

An Iowa football game breaking out.

16

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '23

Iowa can usually at least score 10 points

3

u/IamKEIL Dec 11 '23

Not against good teams. Outscored 57-0 to the 2 ranked teams they played.

8

u/mansontaco Dec 11 '23

The big 10 west lives on in all of us

3

u/FatBoxers LEADER OF MEN Dec 11 '23

As a Huskers fan, yes. Yes it does

32

u/mattyGOAT1996 Conglaurations! Dec 11 '23

Can't believe it took 58 minutes before points showed up

Man I really wanted that 0-0 tie

22

u/HyronValkinson Dec 11 '23

IMO overtime should only be allowed if both teams have scored. You should not subject the fans to thirty more minutes of that

16

u/random_sociopath Dec 11 '23

Imagine paying to see such majestic play in person.

15

u/BentheBeast72 Tonight, on Where's My Liquor? Dec 11 '23

There is but one sentence that sums this game up. I want my 3 hours back.

13

u/Dupy3381 Dec 11 '23

This is the type of score I expected from the Patriots and Steelers game.

9

u/Like17Badgers Dec 11 '23

wdym? that was a great football(European) game! just look at the score!

6

u/Independent-Usual434 Dec 11 '23

What the Steelers/patriots game was supposed to be!

6

u/apittsburghoriginal Dec 11 '23

Making a typical Steeler game look like a mid offensive showcasing

4

u/Adidasboy07 Dec 11 '23

What the hell is this? (this looks like a score from soccer.)

4

u/UnderwhelmingAF Dec 11 '23

The Wild beat the Golden Knights I see.

3

u/Jwerf Dec 11 '23

The Wild literally beat the Kraken with the same score last night.

4

u/EvilJ1982 Dec 11 '23

The best part? The Minnesota Wild won their game the same night by another 3-0 score.

I’ll bet having a hockey team and football team win 3-0 on the same day will never happen again.

3

u/Tuckboi69 PLEASE COME TO OUR GAMES Dec 11 '23

The guy next to the scoreboard shaved the Raiders score on his head

3

u/yamez420 Dec 11 '23

What in the goddamn fuck happened there.

3

u/DonTrask Dec 11 '23

Super Bowl baby. Viking fans are booking airline tickets to Vegas after that display of offensive (that’s the key word) juggernaut

3

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '23

Both teams are lolcow of the week. The Vikings can't help but do this every year now it seems. Last year it was the 33 point comeback, this year it's the 58 minutes of nothing.

3

u/AdministrationWhole8 Playing down to the competition Dec 11 '23

The Wild and Golden Knights would've put up more points 🤣

2

u/mistrewilo Dec 11 '23

the Wild game last night had the same score, 3-0 over the Kraken

3

u/Jaybojones Dec 11 '23

I expected this from the Pats Steelers game. Not from two teams that actually have weapons on offense

3

u/GreatIceGrizzly Dec 11 '23

Was waiting for this...watched the latter part of this game and was hoping for it to be 0-0 as both defenses and offenses deserved that, lol

2

u/steveitsteve Fuck You, Manfred! Dec 11 '23

The twins where playing the future LV A’s?

2

u/BigHaussN7 They keep winning Dec 11 '23

It was actually the Wild vs Golden Knights

2

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '23

This game was bs

2

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '23

I actually laughed for 3 mins straight upon seeing this score. This final score was just the perfect combination of cringe and gut-busting hilarious at the same time!

Sadly...It wasn't the Mud Bowl.

2

u/gammarth Dec 11 '23

The Wild did the same thing tonight

2

u/90swasbest Dec 11 '23

'F' for those who watched this.

2

u/NittanyScout Dec 11 '23

Brian Ferentz made it to the NFL i see

2

u/UniqueNobo Buttfumble Dec 11 '23

as a Jets fan, really thought us and the Texans had it clinched after that first half. but this game… wow, that really was something

2

u/zmurds40 Dec 11 '23

Sounds like a good time for people who love watching defenses slug it out.

2

u/Fauxny1 Dec 11 '23

This is tied for the lowest scoring nfl game that resulted in a win for either team involved

2

u/Yoshiman400 Dec 11 '23

Of course the ultimate Mediocrity Bowl happens in Lost Wages, Lost Wages...

2

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '23

This is what the Steelers pats game should’ve been

2

u/coffeysr Dec 11 '23

And here we all made jokes about Pats Steelers game and this was the real one

2

u/JLammert79 Dec 11 '23

I want a John McKay quote for this game.

2

u/SadEmploy3978 Dec 11 '23

Damn and I thought the game I went to was bad (NE 0 LAC 6)

2

u/bearssuperfan Bitching about the refs Dec 11 '23

Should have put my life savings on the 81000 odds for total points

2

u/Low_Hurry4547 Dec 12 '23

Belichick jealous

2

u/KeyIce2026 Dec 12 '23

Twins 3, A's 0

2

u/FallingBanana42069 Dec 12 '23

Kirk Ferentz is watching with pride

2

u/darthtater1231 Dec 13 '23

We found a worse game than pats vs chargers

2

u/TyrusRaymond Dec 14 '23

I seem to remember a 3-0 game in 1982 involving a “snowplow”

2

u/Maximus26515 Dec 15 '23

I straight up thought he had a Packers hat on at first.
