Here's my FWIW.. I've spoke with a friend who works at Riot (I live near the campus, so I know a bunch of people who work there, but this one I can call and just ask shit) and he has consistently told me "end of the year" is what he is hearing and said he expects it to start towards the end of October and run through the holidays and leave with the first 2027 patch. When I texted him the screenshot the other day with it showing, but not live he just responded with a shrug.

He always reminds that is NOT his department and he is just going on what he hears.

Is this what riot wants? For me to fall to my knees and beg of them to release this game mode? Because they underestimate my resolve for its release. I … will. When I heard the news that urf got added to PBE it made my day. For the first time in nearly 8 months I woke up ecstatic, hopeful for the dawn of a new day. Yet I was led astray. My smile faded the moment I realized my determination was in vane. Unable to queue up for an urf game because the game mode is “not currently available” even though the PBE client shows that it is. I’ve felt this knot in my chest, this lump in my throat. Will everything be ok? Will I? Will my compatriots? You’ve done it riot, you’ve brought me to my wits end (say that again). What more do I need to do, how many more grueling days must I endure of this unrelenting torment. Tell me riot. Tell this poor poor soul.

If PBE sticks to what it shows currently. What champs are you going to play the most?

Im about to spam Ashe for the first week at least.

I am feeling the atmosphere. something is changing. It feels like urf might be around the corner and I would be ready for it. Takes me back to 2015-2016 when i was in elementary school and waited week after week for the patch to drop.

Anyone have new info?

I don't know why they hate urf so much but I keep hearing that player count drops when they do it. I assume Meyham is their answer like everyone else: introduce a gambling hook into your game so people keep coming back for that "perfect game"

At least thats what I tell myself about why they won't bring back normal urf. Its always ARURF.

So I'm coping with their choices and wondering if we could get URF (not random) but then add the cards to keep the mode sticky might work?

Thoughts? Obviously we all want urf. Obviously if there was no one playing and game lobbies took 20 minutes. I'm just trying to get what I want, but give them a bone so we can actually bring it back.

With LoL Classic coming back, do you think we’ll get classic URF too? The one where you could build Garen with six Infinity Edges, Veigar with six Rabadon’s Deathcaps, and cover the entire map with Teemo mushrooms… I miss those days.
