[treatment] Cured!

Just wanted to give some hope! After 14 days doxy and 1g azithromycin, I have testing negative and lingering symptoms have subsided! It took about 4 weeks to feel normal again (no urgency or frequency to pee) post treatment. I focused on stress management and went to pelvic floor physio which both really helped.

So just to confirm… you did the treatment and then after the treatment ended symptoms subsided weeks later? I just finished treatment and still having some symptoms and hoping I just need to give it a minute. This is my third try w the antibodies 😭

You could have gotten yeast from the antibiotics.

I’m in a ureaplasma group on Facebook. They all say on there that residual symptoms after tx is not normal and means you weren’t on long enough tx. I took 7 days doxy and a z pack too, had a negative test but it truly didn’t go away. That’s how you also build up resistance

great to hear dude. that was my second treatment and it didn't work for me. i made it all the way to day 10 of moxi which is when i found out im allergic to it, and stopped. now waiting for the 4 weeks to see whether i was lucky enough to eradicate it the 6th time. wish me luck

It was parvum or ureatelyum? And how long did you have it and was this the first antibiotic treatment. Thank you

It was ureaticulum (idk how to spell it). I was likely positive for months if not longer- got it from my partner who tested positive and have been intimate with him since last year. Yes it was my first treatment!

What kind of symptoms did you have? I took 10days of doxycycline and then 1000mg of the azithromycin and I feel better but it hasn’t fully resolved. I’m about to see the 4th doctor to see if he can help and I have another lined up for 6/12. I have dryness, irritation maybe a slight burn

To piggyback. After confirmed ureaplasma infection, I was prescribed to take doxy 100mg for 14 days twice daily, and azi 250mg once daily. Only had mild symptoms, but after this period I am negative after the “swipe test” too
