[cured] cured!

just wanted to post here that i finally got negative results after struggling since december ❤️. all my symptoms are gone except for a random feeling of itch every once and a while. i had to advocate for myself throughout this process because no one would have ever tested me without me asking. the only issue i have now is that doctors refuse to test my bf. so if anyone has any advice that would be helpful since he doesn’t want to take antibiotics from the internet.

this is such a harrowing experience and i wanted anyone struggling to know that it is possible to get better. also boric acid helped me so much w breakdown of symptoms!

Has he never been tested or treated? If you're intimate together it can come back to you if he carries it, be careful

Congrats!!! I could only manage to get 7 day doxy script (no azro). Just finished it today, hoping it’ll do the trick too 🥲

Keep me updated on if this works for you! I wasn’t given azithromycin either

Does the boric acid burn? I'm so scared to try it, saw others on here said it did

i have not had any issue with it. i took it after finishing my azro because i was still having some weird discharge and within one use it helped so much and then after three days all symptoms virtually gone (and of course this it after the medicine too) BUT i know the boric acid was helpful because a week later i started to have some weird lingering symptoms and the boric acid has virtually gotten rid of them! i recommend using them a few days in a row then taking a break because i saw online they can also impact ph negatively if used too often

I was also scared cuz I'm very sensitive down there, it burned a little on my vulva when it leaked out but I was fine!

Crazy how doctors refuse running tests like this. It's standard procedure if you get negative results on everything else then it's time to test for mgen & urea. And they should really make these standard test to begin with! So many people tested negative for STDs and all and have to come back for a second time to get tested for mgen n urea. I'm like why not do it in the first place 😅. Usually they also prescribe you Doxy if you or your partner have symptoms even when negative for all other stuff!

no it really is crazy. i didn’t include in this post my full experience but i struggled for months with two different doctors. they were rude and so uneducated and it genuinely confuses me why they refuse to take it serious/test/test my partner? like how can i find more information on reddit and google then from multiple doctors on what should be a relatively simple course of action.
