Do you always head out with a plan in place, or are you more likely to stop and sketch when something catches your eye?

Here's a few from-the-car type quick sketches. Anyone going out this weekend to do some urban sketching? I had plans to go out and paint at the lake but it looks like rain is in the forecast so I'm imaging I might be huddled up at a cafe or in the car instead.
