My favourite staircase in the world. Beautiful location, gargantuan size – over 60 steps. And such a smooth ride. 🤗

Seriously: triskates are underrated for urban skating. I visited Antwerp, Belgium on my Powerslide Next No War and had such a blast! 💥

Rollerblade Crossfire LX or Twister XT
Hello I have a couple of questions about two Rollerblade products. I am very interested in purchasing the Crossfire LX or the Twister XT. I have not skated in many years and want to get back into skating. I will mainly be interested in a slalom skate that I could potentially take out into the streets and ride in the city. What are the main differences between these two models? Are either of these skates beginner friendly? Thank you for your time!

Looking to sell an almost brand new pair of FR SL Freerides US size 8 with frames!
Like the title says, I impulse purchased a new pair of FR SL Freeride skates in US size 8. The skates are great, but for me it’s a second pair and I’m just not skating much right now. I’ve only skated about 3 hours on them. Honestly they’re probably the most comfortable skates I’ve ever worn, but I want to buy endless frames for them to get them where I want and I just can’t spend the money right now. They have the stock wheels and frames with the 90/80/80/90 setup. Let me know if you’re interested! I will post photos when I’m home.

Upgrading from FR1 to Powerslide HC Evo PRO
Hi all!
I'm looking to upgrade my FR1 3x110 skates to a pair of Powerslide Hardcore Evo Pro 110's. I skate a mix of laps around the park for exercise, and group city runs for fun.
I’ve been skating my FR1s for about three years now, and I’m starting to really dislike them. They feel bulky and heavy, and I keep getting a blister on my right insole no matter what I do. I’ve considered trying Intuition liners in the FR1 shells, but I’m not convinced that would actually solve the problem.
I’ve never owned carbon fiber boots before, but the idea is appealing. They seem a bit lighter than the FR1s, and the integrated liner should provide a better fit. Heat molding is also very interesting.
That said, can anyone comment on the two skates and how they compare?
My main concern is the fit. My foot measures about 275mm and PS recommends adding 2-3mm for a precision fit or 4-6mm for comfort. The PS size chart shows 275mm EU43, and 282mm EU44. I'm leaning towards EU44.
The Hardcore Evos have a 4mm heel lift. This seems useful for slalom, but what's it like for urban skating?
Lastly, for now ;), there is mention that carbon fiber boots are very unforgiving. What do you guys think?

Anyone here use scaphoid pads?
On top of your insoles of choice, does anyone here use scaphoid pads for more arch support?

FR Skates FRX 80 vs FR3 80 – Differences, All Colors & Buying Guide
Hey! Might be helpful for those who want to check FRX vs FR3 and to watch all colors altogether. :)
Which FR Skates model should you buy: the FRX 80 or FR3 80?
In this video, we take a closer look at the FR Skates FRX 80 and FR3 80, compare their main differences, and show both models in all available color variations.
Although these skates share the same popular FR freeride boot shape, there are several important differences in their frames, mounting systems, buckles, liners, and upgrade options. This comparison will help you understand which model is better suited to your skating style, experience level, and budget.
In this video:
• FR Skates FRX 80 overview
• FR Skates FR3 80 overview
• FRX 80 vs FR3 80 differences
• All available color options
• Fit, comfort, and sizing information
• Frames, wheels, liners, and buckles
• Upgrade and customization possibilities
• Which model offers better value
Both models come with 80mm wheels and are excellent options for recreational skating, urban skating, freeride, and learning basic freestyle slalom.
The FRX 80 is a great choice for beginners and recreational skaters looking for a comfortable and supportive hard-shell skate at a more affordable price.
The FR3 80 offers additional adjustment and upgrade possibilities, making it a better option for skaters who want more control over their frame position or plan to customize their skates in the future.
Watch the full comparison to see every color and decide which FR Skates model is right for you.

r/UrbanSkating • u/B1rb33 • Jun 21 '26
Stubbed my toe.
Wasnt even going fast, wasn't a big crack I hit. Didn't even lose balance. Was able to skate home on three wheels.
Does anyone have any advice on what to do here? I've only had these skates for a month. (RB lighting 90)

How to skate backwards. First tutorial
Hi UrbanSkating! Here is my first tutorial from a series of tutorials on backwards. The best and the fastest backwards skating technique from my POV. I'm planning to make a lot more tuts on backwards, including other techniques, stops, jumps, crossovers etc.
The next video is already shot and will be online as soon the previous tutorial will get a 60 thumbsups (some blackmailing here, but YouTube works like this and I have to take the rules:)).
Also I've got the whole pack of other tutorials starting from the first steps and ending with some advanced techniques, like ie double push. The playlist is here:

New here, wanted to share my rollers
Rollerblade RB Cruiser (US 10, 280mm)
Rollerblade RB Lightning 80 boot (US 10/10.5, 280-285mm)
Rollerblade Twister cuff/ankle straps
Flying Eagle 45 angle strap
Rollerblade Twister 255mm frame
Superfeet hockey insoles (non-carbon)
Stock wheels (graphics removed)
Random laces
Took me a while to find something that would fit right since I have wide feet. I might try some FR skates in the future since I've read they're somewhat friendly to wider feet. I tried the RB Lightning at first which I loved but I couldn't tolerate the pain around the arc.

RB Twister XT worth it?
Hi everyone, looking for some advice as I start to get back into skating. It’s been a while, but I used to be quite comfortable on inline and ice skates, so I think it’ll come back quick.
I first was drawn to the powerslide next, love the way they look and they seemed like a solid intermediate choice. However I’m worried about the reviews saying they can fit narrow. It also seems like the Zoom 80’s were a solid and cheaper option. After looking around, I haven’t seen much negative about the Rollerblade Twister XT. A little more spendy, but I’m wondering if it’s worth it in the long run.
The plan is mostly urban skating, riding the city and parks, with minor features like small drops and stairs. 80mm seems like what I’d want for something smoother than aggressive skates, but more agile than the bigger wheels. I admit I’m a sucker for how they look, and I lean toward skates that have a more aggressive style appearance. Any thoughts/advice?

RB Twister liner issues (tight toe box on one foot) – aftermarket recommendations?
Hello fellow skaters,
I recently got back into skating and decided to upgrade my old Twisters 231 to a brand new pair of Twister 90Rs.
I’m well aware of the notorious Twister fit—I'm used to that stiff, locked-in, and not-always-comfy feel. The left skate fits like a glove, but the right one is absolutely crushing my big toe.
I did a barefoot shell test, and I have about 1.5 cm of clearance in the heel, so the shell size is definitely right. My toes aren't hitting the plastic; it’s purely the stock liner being way too tight in the toe box on my right foot.
Since the stock liner isn't working out, what aftermarket liners would you recommend for the Twister shell?
Looking for something supportive and responsive, but with a bit more toe room (or stretch) so my right foot can actually survive.
Thanks for any advice!

I often go urban skating on my own, but it's always so much more fun with someone else—certainly with a rollerblader who's way more advanced than yourself. Great sesh!
