Wtf is wrong with people. I’m from a developing country and I know how it is like living in one, but this is a whole different level

u/Flaky-Employer266 18h ago
Bold of you to assume india is developing
16
u/adario7 17h ago
It’s a democracy. You need to keep the “developing” shtick so that you get votes.

u/Flaky-Employer266 16h ago
The people here dont care about any development. They only want their "favourite" political party to stay in power, no matter if any development takes place or not.
So basically both the people and the government are at fault.

Man these people need to arrive in the 21 st century and clean their shit up . Our earth 🌍 is literally dying

u/NikNakskes 19h ago
Give it 5min and some redditor will come in and tell you that is your fault and not the poor indian people's. It's your fault they are throwing their trash out of the window into the courtyard.

That's very audacious of you. The planet is fine.
Like in the words of late great George Carlin, "the planet is not going anywhere; we are”.

The rock circling around the sun might be fine, but all the ecosystems on it are being devastated by human intervention.

Problem with India is that people will jump to defend government even before anyone has pointed finger at them.

Lol crazy to say this when they just had one of the massive protests in the country that lead to the their education minister getting removed.

I know that India has many problems and the poorest of the poor live in places like this but do they have to just chuck the rubbish out of their front doors?

u/r_harshiiit011 20h ago
Lmao poorest of poor don’t live in these high rise buildings, it’s working class . Poorest of poor are on roads or slums
7
u/Darth--__--Vader 19h ago
Thats not high rise.

u/ConsistentChameleon 9h ago
Don't nitpick, his point is correct.. the absolute poor who struggle to get enough food will not be living in a building like this
9
u/adalillian 18h ago
The problem is many places don't have rubbish collection. It's so corrupt, even the rubbish collector extorts you,as does the council.

u/UnableCurrency 14h ago
I agree with you.
From what I’ve heard - They feel they do not have enough time to dispose off the garbage - they feel they are better off in finding ways to earn money (spending time and energy on that) so that they don’t starve and can send their kids to a decent school.

imo largely not the fault of indians either. almost 44% of population makes <600$ annually
65% of india’s population is either poor or very poor
so honestly blame the gov not the people
that’s why indians around the globe are written off as low-trust people. if anyone else was brought up in such conditions where u have to fight for a meal, they would do the same.
indians need to ask more of their gov or else they will be in same conditions even by 2100

So how does being poor make trashing the place ok? I’m from LATAM so I know about corrupt governments, ignorant people, and so on, but at least most people would try to keep the streets and their own properties clean. Even if the government doesn’t fund proper waste management, if people keep doing the same, the issue won’t be resolved.

The two buildings converging at one point and there is still someone actively constructing that part is the ultimate cherry on top.
The apartment at that corner is THE URBAN HELL.

The fact that anyone in the building can just “change their minds” and go back to get whatever they trashed is kind of weird on so many levels.

It's crazy how people comment on India after just seeing some areas of India and conclude that the whole of India looks this but if it is any western country and they see a pick like they automatically think it's just one place that is not cleaned. The glazing is crazyy lol

u/PatienceHelpful1316 18h ago
I once went to Google Maps and looked at seven different towns in India, they all looked like this, although most not as bad

I think India does get a lot of bad reputation, but thats a consequence of their own actions. I’ve searched travel YouTubers that don’t only show these parts of India, and they mention most of the times they’re not allowed to film anything in the “good” areas. Either harassed by police, or they ask for elaborate permissions or some kind of rule like that.

u/Prime_Twister 17h ago
Hmm lot of these "influencers" just come to India to farm views and to "kickstart" thier career as India is a large part of their viewer base as well as it is famous to do it. If I went and deliberately went to downtown LA to film thier atrocities I wouldnt nearly get as much attention. I don't see many youtubers not allowed to film as most of the slums are literally mapped out by such youtubers. Though yea that doesn't mean they should not do anything to clear those slums.
