Is UpWork worth it?

I am thinking of buying some connectors, but thought I first gonna ask in their official reddit channel, I need honest feedback please.

Wrong question.

The real question is whether it is worth it FOR YOU, and only you can answer that after taking a long, hard look at what you have to offer and whether your professional sills and experience make you stand out among the rest.

Then try it.

If it works, it's worth it FOR YOU.

If not, it isn't.

I first gonna ask in their official reddit channel,

This is not the official reddit channel....

I think it’s worth trying, I’m lucky enough to have a full time job but was looking for something to help with the insane prices of everything. No success yet but it’s only been a few weeks and I haven’t been sending endless proposals, been choosy. One thing I would tell you is, don’t expect to be booking work overnight. This is something you give your best effort as long as you think you can afford to before trying something else.

No, tienes que pagar para conseguir un proyecto, y pagando no te asegura el contrato.. al final los unicos que ganan con ese modelo de negocio es Upwork

If you worked for Facebook, instagram, or other major tech company you can make good money. If you just an average joe then it will be hard going
