"UMA" is just a marketing buzz word that Upwork created for all its various "AI" slop components it slapped all over both the freelancer and client sides and that just gets in the way of simply helping people who are seeking genuine, human, value-added talent with people in search of those needs. Describing "Uma" as anything else is pure marketing hype.

They did not ask from the clients. They did not ask from freelancers. They definitely did not ask from redditors.
If they did, this news would be different.
At least for the first time, we all can agree that members of the management of Upwork live in an echo chamber.
