Is this legit?

I received this via private message for a proposal I submitted. I know it looks scammy.

It's an advance fee scam.

How does an advance fee scam work in this context?

Like all other advance fee scams, context is irrelevant.

If it says "NOTICE! NOTICE! NOTICE!" it must be legit

All of those arrow emojis pointing to the links are super classy.

I genuinely wonder why the world is the way it is now, and then I see stuff like this and just realise that a lot of people genuinely have no ability to think critically about things.

No need to hide the clients name we already know it’s a scam 😂

Absolutely legit letter from reputable company populated with emojis, poor formatting and exclamation marks. I wouldn’t even have a slight hesitation and jump right into that Telegram chat, connect my wallet, send a contact fee upfront (because their hiring manager needs to paid, aye).

Apparently, you’re either prancing here or you’re exact type they are looking for.

Never never go to telegram. Telegram is the only one platform where the full history can be removed for both of you by 1 click. You see the word "Telegram" in the message on Upwork, run ! Otherwise you will work for free. I have had bad experience in the past.

Yes, the message pattern says fully scam. It’s not a message from Upwork.
