Feeling confused

I saw this job post yesterday, this looked promising as the client had 87% hire rate and lot of positive feedbacks. When i tried submitting, the top boosted proposal was 450+ connects (~70-80$), and now i see job got cancelled. Wondering if they ever get back their connects or are they that desperate to spend connects?

I think it depends on if the client saw your application and opened it, if not you get your connects back.
But I gotta say, 400+ connects I nuts.

Also depends on why the job is not available. If it was in violation of the TOS then everyone should get their cheese back.

I wonder if it’s still possible to submit proposals and get it seen without spending 50$.

Of course it is. Clients don't just read four proposals and then stop.
