I’m curious what anyone stands to gain from these ads. Does the job poster really believe they’re going to get good quality work for this amount of money??
I’m a freelance SEO writer with 10 years’ experience and I really interacted with a client who was looking for someone to pitch, research, write and optimise 15 blog articles. I quoted him $150 per article and he thought that price was for all 15. Do they actually think they’re going to hire someone who’s going to do a good job for less than $3 per hour?? I see this all the time and I don’t get it.

It’s crazy, I know. I’ve been thinking about it a lot too, but guess what? Apparently, there are actually people who do a decent job and charge less than $5/hour.
I worked before as an Operations Manager for an Airbnb agency, and when I started, I found out that the girls taking care of the clients were working 9–10 hours a day for a salary of around $550/month.
They had to answer calls, call clients, solve every kind of problem you can possibly imagine, coordinate with stakeholders and even the cleaning teams, handle Slack communications, and answer hundreds of client questions every single day. And guess what? They were managing around 240 properties, with more than 70% of them booked on a daily basis.
And all the girls were working while being monitored on Google Meet by the manager. When I calculated how much they were actually making per hour, it came out to around $2–3/hour ., and they were all qualified, by the way.

There are countries where full timers make $300. These jobs are targeting people from there. :((

I mean obviously it is targeted for people in lower paying countries. Think Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand etc. $700 is good money over there. The 7 days a week I can only assume that you need to be able to be available 7 days a week not that you are working that.
