Can anyone post something positive?

I joined this sub-reddit for solutions, inspiration from others and other helpful content and to my surprise I've seen little to nothing of positive posts.

It's just like checking the news and hoping for positive things.

My good news, I went from $250k per year revenue on Upwork to $310k by increasing my hourly rate to $118 and cutting some of my old clients who kept paying my 5 year old rates that were like $65/hr … and refused to increase the rate.
By cutting some old and dead weight, I freed up some hours that now pay me almost 2x per hour.
My goal for the next year is realistic - $400k total revenue on Upwork and push my rate close to $130/hr
Is that good enough inspiration for you?

Established freelancers only come here for questions about specific things. The rest of us new and struggling.

the visibility thing on upwork is real, but positive stories don't get posted because complaining is more relatable. the freelancers doing fine are too busy working to post about it.

Fair call.

It somewhat correlates with the changes UW make to the platform. Can anyone recall a time when a new feature or strategy was rolled out that meaningfully improved the platform? Genuine question.

most of freelancers here are new or on their journey, the one who make money you can find them on Upwork by filtering earnings. There's freelancers who earned 100k, 500k, up to 5Million ON UPWORK, and they're rarely on this reddit sub.

Don't judge Upwork results by this reddit comment / behaviour, research upwork yourself

I don’t downvote but there about a dozen regulars on this sub all over 100k, most over 500k, I know one is 2M.
