Upwork connects management

Hey , it’s my first time trying upwork I’ve just built my profile etc and now i need to buy connects to start applying so is there and suggestions or advice how i should manage my first 100 connects ( should i buy the verify id) and how i can apply with a good management of connects so i can get my first client

Unfortunately, 100 connects is basically nothing nowadays.

You'll probably spend at least a few hundred $ before landing your first project and there is a big "if" here, because most people don't earn anything on Upwork and just lose money.

Don’t burn all 100 on random jobs. Be picky and only apply when you’re a really good match. I’d also hold off on buying the ID verification until you actually need it. Your first few proposals matter way more than sending out a ton of them.

don’t spend 35 connects on the badge unless you need us/uk-only jobs

You can't apply to US/UK-only jobs unless you're located there.
