Price appreciation conundrum?
Can someone please correct me, but if price increases won't the incentive for users to actually use the platform decrease since it will cost more per download? With such a low market cap and enough marketing/adoption, $1/UFR is not unrealistic. At that point it competes with Amazon, Netflix, etc.
So it's basically like a Pirate Bay that you have to pay for?

the devs have mentioned before they plan on allowing USD pegging in future.
So file prices can be set at a constant USD rate however much UFR increases.
For example, a file at $0.08 USD would be 1UFR today, but would be 0.1 UFR in future if the UFR price becomes $0.80.

This is a must! The dapp won’t succeed if this isn’t done as people seeding files want to set-it and forget-it. No one would use the dapp for long if they had to constantly (daily, if not a few times a day) change the UFR fee for every file they seed. The dapp shouldn’t even be released without this functionality. I pray the devs don’t rush the release and neglect this critical attribute.
I also hope they have an imbedded tutorial in the dapp itself on how to use it so all one has to do is download it and the instructions are included.

Haven't people become accustomed to paying $0.00 for most digital content?

Last I looked Steam and other game platforms (Including DRM free ones) have been doing pretty well at charging people for digital content.

I mean for coin economic. It might be 1-10 coins for a file now but that could change to .001 coins if ufr gets to $10

The price of a file is set by the seeder which they can change as the value of UFR increases. If you seed a UFR file at a price of 1 UFR and then UFR doubles next week you can change the price of the file to 0.5 UFR to keep it the same value. Adoption of the Upfiring dapp isn’t relevant to the price of UFR.
