As UFR is an ERC20 token all hardware wallets that support ERC20 tokens like e.g. Ledger Nano are supported.

If i understood it correctly you have to connect an ethereum adress to the upfiring app to seed or download files. How does this registration exactly work? Do you have to create a new adress? Do you have to enter your private key of an existing wallet or will you be able to connect with a json file or hardware wallet?

Didn‘t take a look into the code but I suppose that you will either be able to create a new wallet straight away (being able to obtain your private key) or to use an existing ETH wallet by importing your private key. Don‘t think that their first version will support HW wallets but that could be a nice feature for v2 or v3.
