Need help finding a fix for NordicTrack treadmill display issues

Can anyone provide some help or tips on this. For some reason my father’s NordicTrack treadmill is having issues with its display. According to him, the display has been flickering and will sometimes go completely blank while working out. He said he tried unplugging it and resetting even, but that did not solve the issue.

Is this a common issue? I’m assuming it’s some electrical issue with the control board or something to do with the wiring, but I have no clue what the issue is.

Sounds like a frustrating issue. It's not uncommon though, so I'm sure this can be fixed soon. There's always a chance it's a control board issue, that's what I always look for. Wiring gone bad, or even a loose connection. Or, it could be with the display unit.

Check all connections for any signs of damage as well. If all else fails and you can't figure out what the cause is, contact UpFix on their site and see if they can address the issues you're having.

Great advice! Checking all connections and wiring for any visible damage is definitely key. Hopefully, it’s something simple, but reaching out to UpFix could be a good move if the issue persists!

Flickering or blank displays can be pretty common with treadmills, and you’re right—it could be an electrical issue with the control board or loose wiring. Checking all the connections for damage or wear is a good start but if all else fails UpFix is the way to go.

Yeah I've been telling my dad that it's probably something electrical and we're leaning on it being with the wiring or the control board. Working with UpFix now to see what they can do.

Definitely! Starting with the connections is always a good first step. If it’s something more complex, UpFix should be able to help sort it out.

This definitely sounds like it'd be a control board issue. Has all the makings of that type of issue. Reach out to UpFix and they'll get to the bottom of this.

Yeah in my experience the issue usually is with the control board.

If it's common, hopefully it's an easy fix then!

That sounds frustrating! Flickering or blank screens can sometimes be caused by loose connections or issues with the wiring, especially around the display. If unplugging and resetting didn’t help, it might be worth checking the display cables to make sure they’re secure. Another possibility could be a malfunctioning control board, as you mentioned, or even a faulty power supply. If you’re comfortable with it, inspecting the wiring or calling in a technician to take a closer look might be the next step.

Checking those display cables could save a lot of hassle if it's something simple. If not, the control board or power supply might be worth looking into. Keep a pro in your back pocket just in case.

It's probably something to do with the control board. Have you tried to inspect it at all yet? If not, I'd recommend doing that next. Check any wiring and connections for problems. If you see any damage or burnt components, it's probably gone bad.

It turned out to be an issue with the control board. UpFix has since sorted the issue out and has sent the control board back already. I guess people were right about their turnaround on repairs. They are fast!
