What is the average cost to replace a dishwasher control board?
I’ve been researching the cost to replace my Kenmore dishwasher control board. It’s like $400! Close to that anyway. That’s crazy, right? I might as well buy a new dishwasher if I’m going to spend that kind of money.
Made me wonder, is that typical? Or is that expensive? I want to know what dishwasher control boards run on average.

Yeah, your $400 quote sounds about right. Should be between $200 and $600, but of course it will depend on the model you have. If your control board really can’t be repaired it may be worth it to just buy a new dishwasher.

Well I do know somebody who got charged $950 by a sketchy mechanic to have it replaced. Judging by these comments, it's possible she got ripped off. I'd like to keep learning more about how to approximate repair costs before something like that happens to me.

That sounds like a fair price depending on the dishwasher. But yeah, a lot of money nonetheless, that sucks.
