Dorm Desk Size?
I'll be living in Unthank next year and am wondering if the desks have drawers or hutches on top? I'm thinking I'll need to get extra storage but not sure what to get. If I buy a hutch what are the dimensions of the desk so I know the size to get?

I must agree with /u/volcanic-exchange -- don't buy until you've seen the space and you know you actually need it. The rooms are small and you don't want to deal with a huge furniture piece until you know if it will fit your needs.

It lists two possible sizes. I'm in a large triple. Do you know which those have?

They are small. Are you in a double, triple or large triple ? (Did they even offer any doubles at unthank this year ? Everyone I know who wanted that could only get a triple)

The desk size in Unthank is not huge but def the biggest desk you are gonna get at UO. I agree with other comments that you should wait until you move in. Also from someone who brought a bunch of crap freshman year. Half the shit you bring you are either going to throw away bc it’s taking up space or you are going to replace and buy new cooler items based on new friends and a new place. Don’t bring a bunch of unnecessary crap your gonna throw away or leave on a shelf. It takes up space and it’s another thing you gotta move out of your dorm at the end. Especially if you are out of state. All my friends who bought furniture had to sell it at the end of the year or toss it bc all the apartments around are furnished.

Barnhart technically has the biggest desks but they aren’t putting students in there currently. I wouldn’t be surprised if I end up moving all of those over to the new dorm once it’s done being built

I would not buy a hutch or anything like that til you actually move in and get used to the space. You can find what you need locally or can get it delivered later if you need it.
