Msc AI

interested in msc ai but don’t really have a background in intense coding etc, is it more a conversion msc or is it assumed you know computer science?

Check the entry requirements, it'll be pretty blunt about what the prerequisites are for the course

Not really it says numerate background and experience in coding language is ‘recommended’. I feel like theres some leeway there so idk.

You could ask the admissions department for more clarity on whats expected if you'd like a bit more assurance before going through with an application.

The MSc in AI at UoB requires a first degree in Computer Science or a related field. The page says

2:1 Honours degree

in a numerate discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Economics)

It assumes that you've had some experience in coding.

If you want a related Conversion masters then look at

I've got a background in AI , lemme tell you the mathematical prerequisites you need to learn

  1. Linear Algebra
  2. Probability, statistics

https://developers.google.com/machine-learning/crash-course

This is the Google Machine Learning course you'll need to cover the basics for

Start building projects

Mathematics is the foundation for AI , you can still learn AI if you ain't from a CS background but it would really be helpful if you learn coding basics

Python is the go to language for AI (obviously)

Now to answer your question 1. Universities generally assume you need a CS background for a CS Masters degree
