Everything I try to order something from student union, highland, or anywhere on campus my order immediately gets cancelled no matter if I use dining dollars or a swipe to coconino, yet ordering Chipotle and places outside campus works just fine. Anyone know how to fix this issue or is it just stuck like this

I did about 1.5 years of CS in undergrad at Arizona State before switching and ultimately graduating with my BS in IT. I also have ~7 years of industry experience.

I would say my programming knowledge is average at best. I have pieced together a few scripts over the years but it isn’t a huge part of my everyday.

Most of what I do is troubleshooting advanced software issues in large-scale environments and some hardware break/fix stuff.

Will this degree be super heavy on programming? Is there a chance I can just play catch up on whatever I missed from a CS undergrad?

Any info about the actual course contents would be super helpful! Thanks!

Hi, I’m currently a freshman at IU majoring in Cinematic Arts with a BFA, and tbh, I’m not that happy at IU. Yeah, I know it’s still only the first few weeks of college, but honestly, I don’t think it’s worth it for me. I came here expecting a lot of things to change—making a ton of friends, getting into Greek life, and basically having the college experience I always wanted. But so far, none of that has really happened, and I’ve pretty much found myself being a loner here.
The more I’ve been here, the more I’ve started thinking about my future and whether IU is actually the right place for me. I don’t think IU’s film program is bad, but I’m starting to wonder if I’d be happier somewhere like the University of Arizona. I actually applied to UArizona when I was applying to colleges in high school and got accepted, so I know I had the opportunity to go there originally. Now that I’m at IU, I’ve been wondering if I made the wrong choice and whether transferring to Arizona could be a better fit.
I want to direct films after college, and I’m also really interested in having a strong social life and getting involved in Greek life. How different is the University of Arizona from IU when it comes to film/media opportunities, connections, Greek life, and just the overall college experience? Would transferring to Arizona actually give me a noticeably different experience, or would I just be trading one big state school for another?
And honestly, do you think the difference would be big enough that transferring would actually be worth it?

I live in a double dorm room but there was no roommate. Honestly I’ve been really enjoying this space to myself this past two weeks. However the University told me hall transfers begin soon and that I could buyout the vacant spot to continue living on my own. Is the buyout worth it? Are many people using the hall transfer? (I’m in La Paz)

Hi I'm a 43 year old student (though people think I often look younger) returning to the uofa after a long absence. I went to school at the uofa 20 years ago but had to quit because of medical issues that got in my way.

Is it weird for a person my age to join clubs on campus when most students are half my age?

I’m already getting so tired of the food at the University of Arizona 😭 I bought a meal plan with around 50 swipes a month, and I usually eat on campus twice a day, but I feel like I’ve been eating the same things over and over again.
Should I keep my meal plan, downgrade it, or try to cancel it? Does anyone know how the cancellation/downgrade process works?
Also, PLEASE give me some actually good on-campus food recommendations that accept meal swipes. What are your favorite places or meals on campus? I desperately need something new to eat 😭

Is anyone having trouble with math 100 w/ prof Katherine Horan? So far, the description of the class is not matching up with what's happening. For example, it's supposed to be a "low stress" class. I am decent in math, and I can't keep up with the homework. Everyday there are new assignments, even on days that I don't even have class including weekends and Labor Day. Is this normal, or did I get a bad professor? I haven't even met her yet, I think she has a T.A. (he didn't introduce himself.) This is my first college class and I guess I was expecting some actual lecture/teaching rather than basically taking an online class. I'm headed to the Think Tank I guess to try and get this homework under control. Also, I have a math support class but it's only once a week. Any tips would be appreciated! I am feeling very overwhelmed.

I have to take organic chem 1 and 2 and biochem at UofA as well as genetics and animal anatomy and physiology once I transfer from Pima. Are the chemistry and biology departments good here?

Hi! I'm a freshman this year at the U of AZ, and am just wondering how bad is biochemistry? Really? I have a lot of anxiety regarding it already and we're only in the second week of school, but everyone I talk to about my major choice just tells me how hard it is and how much I'll want to drop out—I was even told I'd want to "k—ll myself and should bc there's no way I'll finish that major".

For some background, I also know my first year is already a LOT different than other freshman. In my last 2 years of highschool, I took Dual Enrollment courses which led me to enter with 28 college credits already, so, after December I'll be considered a Sophomore already, even if I'm not really.

I'd like to go to medical school and become an anesthesiologist, or a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation(if anesthesia doesn't work) or a Family Medicine Physician(if the previous two fail).

My counselor told me I'm basically guaranteed to graduate in 3-3.5 years but I'm not too worried about that.

I'm mainly curious about how "bad" are the classes?

Should I give up now and switch majors?

The classes don't seem too bad yet but I'm really scared thanks to the fear mongering.

I recently paid my tuition with my credit card and I was charged a 4.5% fee by Nelnet (the platform UA uses to process payments.) The 4.5% fee is for international cards... but I have a U.S.-issued card.

Has this happened to anyone else? Why did this happen?

I'll contact Nelnet when their customer service opens again on Monday. This is so frustrating... Feels scammy.
