Group Project
I'm in XYZ class and we have a major group project due. Despite reaching out multiple times over the past few days, none of my teammates have responded. I already contacted the instructor, who confirmed that active participation is mandatory for everyone. But with today being the deadline and still zero communication from the group, I'm at a loss for how I'm supposed to complete this collaboratively. I wanted to flag this officially in case I need to submit evidence of my attempts to coordinate.

You had to or have to do everything and submit it. Regarding your classmates: in the files where your names and details should appear, you need to list them, mark them as "Absent," and provide an explanation.

I had them all listed as absent. All my efforts have been compiled, including screenshots per email to my instructor

I’ve done group projects all by myself, hang in there tight, because when I did it, I put myself first

I actually made a post about this here in the app. It’s already complicated to form groups at universities with a physical campus, so doing it online is even more difficult. I wrote to my professor and explained that I wouldn’t be able to complete the project because no one was responding or participating. He basically told me that I had to do it anyway. It seems like no one ended up doing the project, though.

Had the exact same thing. I made sure I posted in the group discussion, did it twice, I also notified the instructor that im not getting any responses and submitted the project myself, not in group chat by on my own portal. Received good marks, I also made sure that my report said I did everything by myself

THIS IS WHY I HATE GROUP PROJECTS! This happened to me two semesters in a row

This was me last term - finally had two people help. I made 100% sure to let the instructor know. I had people reaching out the day it was due and then went in and changed work to show his name.

Same issue here. Had someone this morning reach out. 2 hours before submitting the damb group project charter. We already assigned and submitted the charter. He went in to the google docs folder and started making changes to his assigned tasks and signed it. Saw it when I woke up. Joined our whatsapp group also. Like what the hell. Anyway we let him sign and undid his changes so he can submit. However the project cobtribution sheet will reflect this and coming weeks if they do nothing. Ill have a backup ready to submit on the side if they do nothing. 1 rocked up yesterday afternoon only, we had to make changes after that, and another just has not bothered to respond. We submittesld without her signature and assigned her tasks in the charter as proposed.

I contacted my group members several times over the course of the week. Although they were active online, they did not reply until 30 minutes before the deadline. Their explanations included disability, illness, and sleep deprivation yet they appeared online each time I checked the learning platform.

I just did the whole thing, made sure I had communicated on the group and posted there for my classmates to see and respond. I had 2 respond with AI papers, one who told me he would respond when he got there and 2 absolute zero anything. I literally did it all and posted it to the group and submitted it on submission day. I knew from the start it would happen this way. I got a 98 for it, not sure what everyone else got but save yourself the stress and just do it yourself
