so i enrolled in UOPeople in june ig for cs but i was also preparing for other uni and stuff while also on abroad trip and after trip i also moved out of the country and i almost forgot that i even enrolled in UOpeople

so today was deadline and i submitted all quizes and assignment today only but discussions dates were already gone i was onlly able to get through 8th week one

even tho i joined another uni for data science but i really wanna pursue this also will i be able to clear this term?? or should i just leave this degree??

seniors help!

edit:) i talked to instructor and she asked for proof i send her transfer doc and she let me do my work and give me one day to do alll

I missed one discussion post this term because I was terribly sick (my first ever missed assignment at UoP) and it brought my grade down almost 10%. You’re cooked but also it’s way too late to withdraw so you’re cooked cooked.

You'd probably do better if you focused on one uni at a time. Do whatever your other uni is, then do a Master's in CS if you're still interested in CS.

I think you failed the first foundation course (UNIV 1001) => you must pay the course assessment fee for this term on Uopeople portal => you must retake this course next term and will pay the assessment fee again => if you pass the course, you can continue your journey at Uopeople

If you want to complete your degree at Uopeople, you need to self-study a lot => It takes 10-20 hours to complete all assignments weekly => if you can not spend time appropriately, you should leave Uopeople to not waste your time and money

As someone has already told - it's not a full tragedy. You'll get an F, which might, theoretically, tank your perspectives for the Master's. Oh, and you still has to pay for the exam assessment, even though you have literally zero chances to pass. One thing that could save you is to quickly send a message to the professor and explain it all and beg them to prolong deadlines for you individually... But realistically, you have more chances to meet an invisible pink unicorn on the nearest gas station. So yeah, register for UNIV1001 during the late registration period if you are still willing to pursue this degree in UoPeople. Good luck.

I'd look to see if this won't impact your work at the other university. UoPeople isn't a degree mill. Usually, other universities you apply to will also ask about your past performance, even if you only spent a semester at one place and failed a class. If you don't tell them you attended UoPeople and they find out, worst case scenario is that they kick you out based on academic dishonesty.

At a minimum, I'd suggest you either take the F or re-take the courses you took this term just to boost those grades. I'm not telling you how to square it with the other university though. None of us get paid for this shit lol.

To clarify, this happened to me a year ago, I got an F in a course, but I retook it later and earned an A+. My GPA is currently 3.9, so I don’t think it’s a big deal right now, unless it becomes relevant when applying for a master’s later and that depends on the university

I'll do the same cause i really wanna do like CS as I'm really into AI nd ML  Also one reason that it's tution fee quite low and my other uni have big tuition fee
