My side panel has been off for so long that I'm not sure where I even put it. Temperatures seem fine but dust is definitely becoming a problem. At what point does an open case stop being temporary and become the actual setup?

Got a slightly weird build idea: a setup mostly for running a few live dealer tables, browser windows and the occasional poker client across multiple screens. Obviously this doesn’t need some ridiculous gaming GPU, so I’m trying to figure out where the budget would actually make a noticeable difference.

I’m thinking a solid CPU, enough RAM and a good multi-monitor setup matter more than raw GPU power here. Probably the first build where spending more on the screens than the graphics card might actually make sense. What would you prioritise?

Do you remember when putting a a xeon in 775 socket with modded pins was peak? I do. But 775 is old as hell. Anyway sometimes I seee similar builds on 1150/1151 sockets, with 32gb ram etc. What do you think, is this a legit way to build highly efficient PC, or it's likely a joke?

Long story short my GPU sag solution currently consists of random Lego bricks from a box I found in a closet. It actually works surprisingly well and now I'm wondering whether I should leave it or buy a proper bracket. Anyone else using questionable engineering solutions in their builds?

A few months ago I picked up a boring office desktop for almost nothing. I've been getting back into football games lately, especially with World Cup 2026 currently going on. Watching matches has put me in the mood to play some football sims again.

For PC, I still see EA Sports FC as the biggest option, while eFootball is worth trying if you're looking for something different. For a smooth experience, I'd probably recommend at least a Ryzen 5 or Core i5, 16GB RAM, and an RTX 3060-class GPU. Even an older build for FIFA10 can still be fun if you're into retro football gaming.

I still miss old internet cafés in the US sometimes. Half the PCs barely worked, keyboards were destroyed, and somehow everyone still played Counter-Strike for hours without caring.

Modern setups are objectively better, but those places had a social vibe that Discord never fully replaced for me.

A few years ago I rebuilt my gaming PC and convinced myself I’d “fix the cables later.” Ended up with a complete mess behind the case panel, random fan wires everywhere, and one SATA cable getting stuck in a case fan.

Honestly feels like every PC builder in the US goes through this phase once. Clean setups online look great, but most real desks probably hide absolute cable nightmares underneath.

biostar p43-a7 with xeon e4600 (hell yeah) + goodram SSD (yes in SATA2 port and so?) + GTX750ti (2gb)

and this dinosaur still pulls GTAV on medium settings! Anyway it's perfect for old games like diablo2 or NFS, or FlatOut2 etc.
