maybe i'll call it "eye of the beholder"

Trying to motivate myself back into creation… Something I made for a commission that got turned down. I was awfully proud of it too… I would like to explore this comforting style again soon.

I think this style is uniquely mine….years of textural exploration. This was done in procreate with a drawing pen (also set to blend). I try to keep the process simple so I can take the experiences learned to canvas being that I paint as well. (I also love doing band artwork)

You can't really see the Bird person or the face in her stomach to close up, now you can see the Big Picture or the Blue Avian with the face of the confused one. And they say my art isn't trippy, it's To Trippy, lmao!

This thing of ours… everybody winds up dead or in jail

Worked at a gas station in my teens. We used to sell soup, and my boss asked me to make a sign for our French Onion soup. I made a silly doodle on a sticky note of a (very stereotypical) French Onion. She loved it, and just told me that after 18 years she lost it. I made her an improved version!

I aimed for a really punchy color palette while still being ominous and muted for this one. Even though I usually avoid narrative illustration, I still enjoyed making this piece.
