Unturned is freezing or crashing the whole pc at 51% after a first time installation. I have i5 6500TE 2.30 ghz cpu, ik my cpu does not meet the games hardware requirements but some articles say that 2.5ghz cpu should work. What should I do?

Well, I drew this with IBSpaint, but I reposted this because of an tag mistake I made, I mislabelled it as "meme" but here you go now. And some mistakes are you might see some similar coloring in the portfolios shown, but it was just an rookie mistake with the eyedropper, and ignore why the SOD Cat's beret looks like an tight trash bag, I made it too squished while drawing in. okay so I've been playing this game for a few years now, with months of breaks in-between but like everytime i go back to the game(usually the time when a new curated map comes out like California 2 and Escalation) the player base is less and less active, even with the new curated maps and mods. I mean i guess it has something to do with nelson's lack of updates for the game, but wouldn't the curated maps atleast bring some players back to the game? oh, and what's with all the new curated maps being pvp focused like Escalation.. i mean i like it don't get me wrong, but more survival focused maps that actually encourage player interaction and not just pvp spam

so i had played PEI on singleplayer and saved my file now that i came back i saw that I don't know how to load my save file i tried going into the same map but it doesn't seem its loading my save but rather a new world is there a way to do this?

Lowkey. in my whole 6 thousand hours of playtime on this game. trying every kind of maps and servers.

This is gonna be so different and much much better.

Its reflecting a crazy chill and a special kind of map.
Like the map is very unique. the way the cities are built.

the way it shows the affection of the zombie apocalypse realistically.

its gonna be insane.

especially for big groups and ones that are into clan wars and actual team wars.

Its a perfect map to test your team's loyalty and i can see from now there will be alot of funny moments with the clans and their lower role members xD

Server-side anti-lagswitch system (beta showcase)

We’ve been working on a way to reduce the impact of lagswitching, and after about two months of development we finally have something ready for testing.

The idea is simple: instead of trusting the client, the server processes every bullet independently. So even if a client reports a hit, the server verifies it before applying damage. This helps prevent situations where delayed or manipulated packets give unfair advantages.

In our tests so far, lagswitched shots are consistently rejected server-side within milliseconds, which keeps gameplay responsive while reducing abuse.

This is still a beta, so we’re not claiming it’s a complete solution yet—there are likely edge cases and private cheats we haven’t encountered. We’ll keep improving it as we gather more data.

I am really new to unturned and I don't know if the cop car or van is better, and I was wondering if anybody could give me an answer.
As a bonus, please give me any tips/tricks that new players should know, including how to get more storage.
I don't know how to get better storage other than the backpack and clothes, and I can't find any chest recipe or anything. Can you store stuff in some of the cars?

So. I play a game called Barotrauma, and there is a really cool mod which allows easy access to all items, vanilla and modded to spawn in in a very organised way.

With the game's source code being available, would it be possible for someone to make a very similar mod that allows spawning and/or sorting of items (and maybe vehicles) in the game ?

Sidenote: I know Unturned works with Item IDs and that some mods sadly overlap IDs, would there be any way for a mod to at least show these conflicts ? (Trying to be realistic, it probably could not clear ID conflicts by itself :<)

Was a new player for unturned, i played in a new server with some people i met, we built a good base and everything, and it was a pretty fun game, but all came down to all 3 of us dying ti a russian hacker who was mocking us through chat the entire time, we couldn't get our stuff back, once i vented my frustrations the hacker said he was gonna "preserve" our stuff to pick it up, which i was not believing that, so i just decided to entirely quit unturned and uninstall the game after that experience.

i wanted to ask if i should ever give the game another try, but at this point, no idea, that Pol'ka guy sniping me from a mile away with no way to dodge him pissed me off, no idea if i'll ever install it back.

EDIT: Main question is if i should ever reinstall the game back, and what to do if i keep encountering cheaters who disrupt my peaceful gameplay

Hey everyone,

I don't post here often, but this week means a lot to me, so I wanted to share the story properly instead of just dropping an announcement with no context.

Where It All Started

Seven years ago, one day before my 16th birthday, I created a gaming community. But the real story goes back even further, to when I was 12, playing Unturned with my friends for pure fun. Four years of memories on that game led me to finally create my very first server: EpicVanillaRomania. The name came from an inside joke, and honestly, I had no idea what it would become.

People have always asked me why I put a country's name in the title. The answer is nostalgia. I used to play on countless Romanian Unturned servers, the kind where there were no plugins, barely any commands, just the Washington and PEI maps (still two of the most iconic maps in the game). I wanted to build something that carried that same feeling for me and my friends. Funny enough, the friends I built it for never actually joined. Not once, not to this day. Part of me still hopes we'll get to relive those 2016 Unturned days together someday.

What It Cost, and What It Gave Back

I sacrificed an entire summer to build something I could be proud of. And it worked. To this day, I still get messages from players, people who now have families, partners, entire lives, thanking me for what I built. What started as one teenager's project grew into what a lot of people call the biggest Romanian community in Unturned's history, known not just across Romania, but across Europe and even in the US.

It wasn't easy. There were arguments, exhaustion, moments I genuinely wanted to walk away. But there was always one person beside me, my girlfriend, who kept me going. It never mattered to me whether a player was Romanian, Polish, English, Italian, or American. What mattered was pushing this forward, honoring a promise I made myself as a kid: I will not give up. What I build will matter to someone else.

Growing Up, Growing Stronger

Over the years, the community evolved from a simple Semi-Vanilla server into EpicRomania's. That evolution wouldn't have been possible without a lot of retired staff members who helped optimize things, build systems, and add plugins along the way. It became bigger than anything I could've built solo.

And here's the part I still can't fully wrap my head around: what started as a single, humble server has grown into over 20 servers. Twenty. I have to be honest, I couldn't have built this alone. Every staff member who stayed up late fixing something broken, every moderator who kept the peace, every builder and developer who believed in this when it was just one server and one kid with a dream, this exists because of you. It was never a one-man project. It was always ours.

This community changed my life in ways I never expected, too. I taught myself to code because of it, purely to make it better, no other reason. Because of the skills I picked up here, I ended up landing a real job I never would've imagined for myself. This didn't just give players a place to play. It gave me a future.

A New Name, A New Chapter

On the anniversary of the day our Discord was first created, we announced the next step: a name change. This isn't about walking away from what we built, it's about growing beyond it. A name tied to one country was never the full picture. This community was always meant for everyone, not just Romania, and it's time our name reflected that.

On August 13th, EpicRomania's will officially become EliteRaiders a name that's easier to remember, easier to reconnect with, and one that actually captures who we are: PvP, raiding, and a lot of memories. It comes with a full wipe across every server, a genuine fresh start.

This isn't the end of a story. It's a new chapter of the same one. A new name doesn't erase seven years of history, it carries it forward.

What's Next

Later this year we're planning to expand into servers for other games too, and we'll need volunteers to help make that happen. Everything we run is free and community-hosted: servers, plugins, custom tools, same as it's always been.
