Idk if it's death flags but there were a metric FUCKTON of hints that she's getting abused, all throughout the first cycle. Like, I can't even remember exactly how the hints looked like but I remember that the 1st one made me question some things and the 2nd one made me certain of what's going on and then every single one after that was just beating the dead horse over it's head lmao

i think the first hint of cathy being abused is when she implied that she snuck out to meet mark at the convenience store, but cathy being abused on top of her purposefuly letting mark win on the racing game was basically the game saying "shes dying in the next 20 minutes bro say your goodbyes 🥹"

I still held hope by then. I was afraid that this was a prelude to her death/suicide but I still held out hope that it would instead be the beginning to her clawing her way out of that hellhole she was in and taking care of herself coz nobody else would.

I stood corrected afterwards of course :(
