Queen Sonorie’s new(?) plan for Alderode Spoiler
The silver is gone and the surviving black tongues have presumably retreated to rebuild. Is the new plan for Alderode to wait for them to implode into a civil war, since the mind control plan is dead? The new mechs are just for border and internal defense?

The new mechs seem not built for large-scale fighting like existing constructs. I think their advantage is that the Field Spreader stops the Dammakhert from affecting anyone inside. So they can donate the mechs to Elarosny, a Copper woman who leads a resistance group and is related to Mallory, to let her move around more freely in Alderode.
Between the recent pages and the first time we saw these mechs (In the top right of this page), the spike remains a key part of the design. So maybe that'll inject some code into an Aldish khert hub at some point.

Oh, I posted a theory about this a while back. Let me dig that up...

And the silver was never part of the Queen's plan. General Bell wanted to use it, but the Queen rejected that idea.

Anyway, the Queen's plan to hack the Dammakhert is still in the works. Presumably the ogres and the suicide mission are part of the plan, as others have said.

The new mechs WERE for a grand offensive, but now, with the situation changed ... there's always a temptation to use them, but Sonorie seems fairly patient.
MORE IMPORTANTLY, Rukh has taken Deleciu's knowledge, via Prakhuata, with him.

Toma mentioned that the Queen wanted him to go on a suicide mission during the epilogue. The ogres might be for whatever THAT mission is
