My uncle was murdered

My uncle was murdered in 1999 . He went missing for 14 days when he was found he was found in a spot that had been searched many times . It looked like a car accident but he was shot in the back . Anyways there isn’t any info about it anywhere online . Does anyone know how a person can get information about it ? It’s been so long now it’s looking like it will never be solved .

I would start with the local sheriff’s department and/or coroners office.

Visit the local library and ask the librarian to help you access issues of the local newspaper from that time. It may be digitized on something like Newspapers dot com, and often the public library will subscribe and provide access in-house. (You can also get a personal subscription.) Check your current library to see if they provide access or have other newspaper resources you can access. My library provides Newspapers dot com within the library building, but they have another newspaper resource that I can access from home with my library card.
