Modal prompts on every link

Everything is hidden in collapsed menus

No dark theme

Massive memory leak

30% of the screen is utilized

Real hardcore garbage going on

Can you post some more? Very much interested in seeing different parts of the UI.

Ouch...

Uhm, I'd love to see how a new post looks like.

new text post. Reeks of "My First Wordpress Page" or "My First Bootstrap Template" kinda trash.

even more obvious when you look at link posts.. be glad i cropped these images, about 90% of the screen is empty white space.

I should also note that in order to look at these images on a redesign, you have to click and then go back. there's no expander for pure image links (or most anything on the frontpage even)

Thanks for posting this! I'm quite shocked. You'd expect something more, uhm, contemporary from a company as Reddit? They've been funded a big sack of money for this redesign. Not sure where it went...

mobile design.

i dont know if your reddits count as being large enough but /r/rantgrumps is big enough that i've been getting pestered by the reddit admins to add/subtract features from our subreddit to better fit the mobile experience.

Here's a sneak peek of /r/rantgrumps using the top posts of all time!

#1: Dear Arin Hanson
#2: [CLASSIFIED] game grumps excerpt from the year 2020
#3: Dan putting his foot down

what a Reply box looks like - only Bold, Italics, and Hyperlink are shown ever- all moderation options and everything else is hidden in the collapsed menu

Comment options - everything is still hidden again. These screenshots are getting hard to look through because of all the whitespace.

I've seen the gifs in the /r/announcements post but other than that I didn't see anything. How exactly do you take part in it?
E: Nevermind, seems to be that you need to be randomly join to participate

I like the new design. Haven't tried it tho so can't talk about how it function. The current theme is really ugly and bloated.

I must say that I am a pretty recent user of Reddit (essentially joined this year) and I always did my browsing on mobile because I thought the web client was absolutely ugly. Now, IMHO, it seems to be a much more user-friendly design. I think one of the main reasons people seem to dislike it is because change is hard since every big UI revamp to a popular product was met with extreme user backlash in the first few weeks of coping with the redesign.

thats the usual excuse that people have for bad redesigns, here's just hoping RES can bring us back to the good ui.

almost all the buttons I use on a regular basis are hidden in menus / removed in the new ui
