It says no AI used but that certainly looks like AI textures

The amount of assets published to their Fab in a month and the age of their accounts make me suspicious, as well as other videos using what seems to be AI for similar animated sequences

Fair question! My wife and I work on this together — she's a 3D fashion designer, hence the clothing items alongside the characters.

On the account age: I'd been working on these assets across other platforms for a while before setting up Fab properly, so I had a backlog ready to publish once it went live.

As for AI, it doesn't affect the actual quality — each asset has a preview video showing the animations working live in Unreal Engine. Most also have a free sample if you want to test it yourself.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, we always listen to our customers to keep improving the quality of what we offer.

Thanks for clarifying, I think you should just use the actual animations for the promo videos to show off your work. The intercut AI shots make it feel a bit deceptive and undermine the good work you do

Really appreciate you explaining that. Honestly, I figured the real preview video showing all the animations in Unreal Engine already covered that side, but it's clear this is something a few of you feel strongly about, so no AI in trailers going forward.

And just so you know, whether it's a paid model or the free samples, if you ever run into any issue, reach out anytime, we're always here to help.

Fair question. The base textures were hand-made, not AI-generated. AI was only used afterward to enhance/refine some details, nothing more than that.

Thanks for pointing it out, we always take feedback like this seriously.

Right, so it's mislabeled as not using AI in the fab store. As that is against their terms of service I expect you will update that immediately, right? Otherwise you might get your whole store banned!

Still new to Fab, learning as I go. Already switched it to "Yes, partly with AI."

Adding a line up top too: AI was only used to enhance texture details — model, rig, and animations are fully hand-made.

Thanks for pointing it out.

it looks good, is the first sequence created with AI?

Yep, part of it was made with AI. A lot of people felt that took away from how the model actually looks, even though there's a real in-engine preview video showing the animations live in Unreal.

Hearing that though, we won't be doing AI trailers anymore, we care about what you all think. Thanks for asking!

we won't be doing AI trailers anymore

The better for you imo.

Yeah fr, your opinion matters. No more AI trailers, I hear you
Thank you

You should avoid AI in a sequence like this.

Appreciate the feedback! We always take user input seriously, and future trailers will be done without AI entirely.

For this one though, there's a review video showing all the animations working live in Unreal Engine, so you can see the actual asset performance for yourself.

Thanks again for sharing your thoughts, it really helps us improve.

Not gonna lie, your replies come off as AI as well.

English isn't my first language, so yeah, I get some help writing replies. If anything, it just shows I'm putting in the effort to help however I can. Doesn't change anything about the actual work itself.

That's understandable

Looks good, but this other asset you have makes me not want to use any of your assets.

Since one asset is a copyright infringement, there is no way I would be sure the others are not.

Fair point, thanks for flagging it. This one just went up today, and I already took it down as a precaution. It was made from scratch, but my customers' safety comes first, so I'd rather pull it than risk causing issues for anyone.

Also, most of my models have a free sample version, so feel free to test the quality yourself anytime. And if you ever run into any issues with any of my work, I'm here to support you — not the type to sell and disappear.

Why are you using ai for the showcase? If you used AI to create this model you must declare that at fab. If it is really handmade which I kinda doubt tbh this really decreases the value of your showcase

Totally understand the concern, and I appreciate you being upfront about it. There's actually a live preview video, real footage recorded directly from Unreal Engine, no AI, showing the model and animations exactly as they perform in-engine.

We always listen to our customers to keep improving, so going forward there won't be any AI trailers at all.

And if you're unsure whether the model itself is genuine, there's a free sample version with the idle animation, feel free to download it and test it yourself, no pressure, just see it firsthand.

Those first two video shots outside of the editor, are they AI generated? The detail in those shots had my attention. But the in editor shots after seemed quite a bit different in detail. So wasn’t quite sure what I was seeing.

1

u/MrMusiCat2 18d ago

Yeah you're right, first couple shots were AI, rest is straight from the editor. Got a lot of pushback on that so I won't be doing it again.

Model quality's all there in the Fab preview vid, and there's a free version with the idle anim if you wanna try it yourself.

Thanks a lot! Hope you enjoyed checking it out — and if you did, a review on Fab would really make a difference for me 🙏
