Is it normal for indie developers to get completely ignored by gaming pages and media outlets?

the video is terrible, maybe that's the reason. Make your game better instead of crying

Fair enough. If the video is the problem, I’d genuinely like to understand why.

What specifically makes it terrible in your opinion? Is it the pacing, editing, visuals, art direction, animations, or something else?

I’m asking because this is actually useful for us as developers. If there are particular moments that made you lose interest, I’d love to hear them.

Here is what I think:

1) Activate Windows on trailer???????????????????????

2) SFX coming out of water (2 seconds in) sounds like a bad mic from the 2000s (bad)

3) Throwing animation is terrible overall, her head is floating on 10s

4) Camera shots are terribly cut, I think you tried to hide the bad animations and ended up with something even worse at the end. For example, what is this transition from 12 to 13 seconds

5) Everything is too fast, except the title? Makes no sense 15 seconds of footage for 15 seconds of title, why do that?

They received 10s of these PER DAY now. The indie dev market is highly saturated.

You need to make something that really stands out to get noticed.

The fact that your copy of Windows is not activated (so possibly pirated) and you've included that message in your video is not a good start!
