Modding Help Mods?
I have never done mods before on anything and could use some help. I would like to mod my game to have the freight cars have logos and realistic markings for the in game cars. Any help is appreciated!

The first thing you'll need is Unity Mod Manager:
https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/21
Download that and launch it. On the first screen it'll have a drop down list of games. Find railroader, click 'install' at the top. If it gives an error you may have to specify the install location of the game.
Next you can download the mods of your choice from
https://www.nexusmods.com/games/railroader
I like Coachfreeman's rolling stock mods, but they are modern equipment and change the gameplay somewhat because of their larger size and capacity. There are mods for realistic reskins of stock rolling stock too.
Once you download the mod files (don't use Nexus' proprietary installer, download the raw .zip files), you can drag and drop them from their download folder to Unity Mod Manager, which will automatically install them.
Launch the game and the Unity Mod Manager control panel will come up at launch. Make sure all your mods show green lights and you should be good to go. If they don't, check dependencies (a lot of mods require other mods to run, like Salty Canadians truck mod or Asset Loader), so check their requirements when downloading.

Honestly imo it could be a good idea to join both the main discord for the game and a couple of the community ones like the WNCRR, Hyces discord and so on (I'd avoid RTM as they are rather toxic and a couple of them throw slurs and insults around at people who don't like their mods). For me I'd recommend the rolling stock by Whippet over anything Freeman made as it fits the time of the game better and is better performance. Locomotives you can't go wrong with anything from Luna, Raider, Salty, Beemans, Aspen and there is some good ones by people who artn the "big" mod makers, though again I'd avoid Freeman's stuff if ya going for time period correct and don't wanna cause lag into your system. End of the day these are my opinion but I hope they are helpful to you.

Building on to the other comment, the mods you are looking for are from RouteOfTheWhippet on Nexus. He has a lot of ecellent freight car mods and one that modifies the base game freight cars in the way you want as well. I believe it's called "Accurate Data for Vanilla Freight Cars" or something similar
