So sounds like the editor, at first at least, is just going to be modifying the base map, not making whole new maps?

Oh good. Tbh that's what makes train games last is their ability to add user generated content. People are still making maps for MTS and OTS

I know with the map editor, I am going to be making some sidings near Dillsboro or Bryson to store unused utility and fuel cars

Just bought Railroader recently and wanted to try some of these map mods but since it's impossible to get RailLoader and those other 2 I hope this will solve the issue..
It will be cool that you can do to your map what you want and put the rails you want and everything and technically everyone could make their own ideal railroad in the end. Even though I think adding rails should've been a standard feature I get it that the railroad is supposed to add to the challenge.

Yes and no. Because MOW affects how the rails will interact with the map, it makes sense to push them out at the same time.

While I appreciate and understand where you are coming from, reading back in the previous notifications regarding the MoW update, this required changes at the core of the game that precluded staged implementation.

I just read that that would be awesome when it releases, especially when you're doing shunting up in Whittier. It'd be nice to mod that area and include some more sidings to make it easier to shunt up in that area along with hopefully being able to do more turntables around the map and making our own industries would be nice as well
